Penick Village Honors Employees at their Annual Service Recognition Dinner
Penick Village recently hosted its annual Lenolia Holmes Employee Service Recognition Dinner at Table on the Green at Midland Country Club in Southern Pines.
The dinner recognizes employees for their contributions and loyal service to Penick Village. Lenolia Holmes was a certified nursing assistant at Penick Village for 35 years. Twenty-seven employees were formally recognized for their years of service.
The guest speaker was the Rev. John Tampa from Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Southern Pines. Employee awards were given by Dr. W. Kirby Kilpatrick, board president and Penick Village CEO Jeff Hutchins, as leadership team members recognized each employee's individual contributions to Penick Village.
"The longevity of our employees is so reflective of the family spirit you feel at Penick Village," Hutchins said. "Our employees are what make Penick Village a comfortable place to live and a pleasant place to work. So it's with great pride that we celebrate each employee tonight and recognize them individually for their contribution in the success of our organization."
Penick Village recognized the following employees: Cheryl Futrell, Deborah Lucas and Marla Goins, 30 years; Helen Stephens, 29 years; Rena McRae, 28 years; Nora Gilmore, 27 years; Anna Stephens and Donald Ring, 24 years; Vivian Martin, 21 years; Vestoria Groomes, 20 years;
Mozella Graham and Phyllis Revels, 15 years; Brenda Wall, Patricia McCaskill, Venita Bratcher, Dee Issette, Katrina McKayhan and Tammy Fore, 10 years; Mike Bettini, JoAnn Wicker, Phil Martinello, Robbin Chambers, Cathy Stewart, Mimi Beatty, Amy Gilliam, Stanley Perkins, and Mike McKay, five years.
Penick Village also recognized the following employees who retired this year: Jean Thompson, nursing, May 26 after almost 10 years; Ruth Assad, personal services, May 28, after 16 years; Catherine Satonick, nursing, Sept. 26, after nine years.
