Penick Village Names New Community Relations & Development Director
Penick Village has named Mary E. Petersen as its new Community Relations & Development Director, effective July 16.
“We are very pleased to have Mary join the Penick Village family,” said Jeff Hutchins, Chief Executive Officer. “She shares in our passion of the quality care of individuals and our mission to deinstitutionalize the aging experience. We are excited she will be representing Penick Village and the new Campaign our Foundation has recently initiated.”
Petersen, who has recently worked with Wachovia Securities in Sanford, has a strong background in Marketing, Finance and Sales. She has been a local resident of the Sandhills since 1999. Her former positions include: Director of Sales & Marketing for FirstHealth Centers for Health & Fitness, Adjunct Faculty Member at the School of Hotel/Restaurant Management at Sandhills Community College and Manager of Education & Development for Pinehurst Resort.
In her new position, Petersen will be managing Community Relations for Penick Village and directing The Penick Village Foundation. Penick’s new Revolution Campaign seeks to deinstitutionalize the skilled nursing and assisted living experience by creating a revolutionary home-based model of care in small houses on their beautiful Southern Pines campus in the future.
